Why Eagle's Curbside Program Isn't Built for This

Hardin Sanitation handles curbside bulky-item pickup in Eagle, including appliances, but it's scheduled in advance and the carts themselves won't take Freon appliances, tires, batteries, or electronics. A refrigerator falls squarely into that excluded category.

The Ada County Landfill at Hidden Hollow will take Freon appliances, but it charges a fee for them and you still have to get the unit loaded, secured, and hauled out there yourself. For most people with a refrigerator to deal with, that combination of scheduling, exclusions, and a landfill run is exactly where hiring a hauler ends up being the simpler route.
